2. Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only.

You must not use the website:

  • in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations;
  • to commit or facilitate fraud or other unlawful activity;
  • to introduce malicious software, viruses or other harmful material;
  • to interfere with the operation or security of the website; or
  • to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or another customer's account.

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our business or our customers.

3. Product information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, sizes and other information are accurate.

Product photographs are provided for illustration. Colours may appear differently depending on your device or screen settings.

Minor variations in appearance, colour, texture or finish do not affect your statutory rights where the product does not conform to the contract.

We reserve the right to update product information and to correct errors.

4. Product availability

All orders are subject to product availability.

If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and, where we cannot fulfil the order, refund any payment you have made for that product.

5. Prices

All prices displayed on the website are stated in pounds sterling (£).

We are not currently registered for VAT and therefore do not charge VAT.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are displayed before you complete your purchase.

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatching the order and give you the option of confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it.

6. Placing an order

When you place an order through the website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

You will receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order. This does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract for the sale of products is formed when we accept your order, normally when we confirm that the products have been dispatched.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or product-description error;
  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity; or
  • we are unable to obtain payment.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will provide a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled order.

7. Payment

Payment must be made using the payment methods offered at checkout.

Payment information is processed using our payment provider(s). We do not normally have access to your complete payment card details.

Your payment must be authorised before an order can be processed.

8. Delivery

We will deliver orders to the delivery address provided at checkout.

Available delivery methods, estimated delivery times and applicable delivery charges will be displayed during the ordering process.

We aim to dispatch and deliver orders within the times stated on the website or in your order confirmation.

If no specific delivery period has been agreed, consumer law generally requires goods to be delivered without undue delay and, in most circumstances, no later than 30 days after the contract is formed.

If your order is delayed, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery.

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

9. Your statutory rights

Our products are supplied with the statutory rights and protections provided to consumers under applicable UK consumer law.

Products must, where applicable, be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes your statutory rights.

If a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as possible.

Depending on the circumstances and the time since purchase, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

10. Your right to cancel an online order

If you are a consumer purchasing goods online, you generally have the legal right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

The cancellation period normally ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person you nominate (other than the carrier), receives the goods.

If your order consists of multiple goods delivered separately, the cancellation period normally ends 14 days after receipt of the last goods.

To exercise your cancellation right, you must clearly tell us that you have decided to cancel. You may do this by email or another clear written statement.

You may use the following wording:

"I hereby give notice that I wish to cancel my contract for the following goods: [product]. Order number: [order number]. Ordered on/received on: [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]."

You do not have to use this exact wording. Any clear statement communicating your decision to cancel is sufficient.

11. Returning goods after cancellation

If you cancel under the statutory 14-day cancellation right, you must send the goods back to us without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after telling us that you wish to cancel.

Unless the goods are faulty, incorrect or not as described, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising the statutory cancellation right.

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.

You may handle and inspect the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. If the goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop, we may be entitled to make a deduction from the refund to reflect any resulting reduction in value, where permitted by law.

12. Refunds following cancellation

Where you validly cancel an order under the statutory cancellation provisions, we will refund the payments we are required to refund, including the cost of standard delivery where applicable.

We will not be required to refund any additional amount paid because you chose a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard delivery option we offered.

We will normally issue the refund using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first, where the law permits this.

13. Exceptions to the cancellation right

The statutory right to cancel does not apply to certain types of goods in specified circumstances.

This may include goods that are:

  • made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
  • liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; or
  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken.

If an exception applies to a particular product, we will provide the required information before you place your order.

The statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods continue to apply.

14. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us at web@sligrags.co.uk.

Where appropriate, please provide your order number and photographs showing any damage or fault. This helps us investigate and resolve the issue quickly.

We will not require you to return a faulty product at your own expense where applicable consumer law requires us to bear the reasonable cost of dealing with the fault.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Nothing in this policy reduces or removes your statutory rights.

15. Returns procedure

To arrange a return, please contact:

web@sligrags.co.uk

Please include:

  • your name;
  • order number;
  • the product(s) you wish to return;
  • the reason for the return, where relevant; and
  • photographs where the product is damaged or faulty.

We will provide any return instructions that are appropriate to your order.

Unless otherwise agreed, returns should be sent to:

East Hanney
Wantage

Please obtain proof of postage when returning goods.

16. Refund timing

Where you are entitled to a refund, we will process it without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.

We will not charge you a fee for processing a refund.

17. Promotional codes and discounts

Promotional codes must be used in accordance with any conditions stated when the promotion is offered.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used retrospectively against completed orders.

Promotions may be subject to product, customer, time or other restrictions, which will be stated with the relevant offer.

18. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login information confidential and for all activity carried out through your account.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Please contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

19. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, product designs and other material, is owned by or licensed to us unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce or commercially exploit our content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

20. Website availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical problems.

We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the website where reasonably necessary.

21. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory consumer rights.

22. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal information.

23. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to your purchase will be the version in force when you place your order, unless a change is required by law or otherwise applies to an existing relationship.

24. Complaints

If you have a complaint about an order or our service, please contact us first at:

web@sligrags.co.uk

We will try to resolve your complaint promptly and fairly.

25. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which you live that cannot legally be excluded by agreement.
